New Squirrel gun
« on: January 11, 2007, 10:17:07 PM »
Whats up all havent been on in a longggg time!! Deer season just ended bagged 5 this year so now it is time to hunt some bushy tails. Went out and bought a new gun today managed to pick up the Marlin 917v(198.00) from walmart then swung over to Bass proshops and picked up a BSA sweet 17 scope 3-12x40mm(99.99) with rings and base(30.00). Not to bad for a decent gun. I am excited for tomorrow got to sight it in, in the morning then off to kill some squirrels. I bought the Hornady Varmint express w/vmax bullet these things look nasty figured I get these for when the groundhogs pop there head up while I am squirrel hunting. I am having a little trouble understanding this scope if anyone else has this scope I would greatly appreciate some help. Great to be back on here good hunting to all.

Welcome back farfignewton... Congrats on the success and the new aquisition. From what I understand, you sight the scope in, raise the turrets and re-zero them, then you can adjust to the range you're shooting.
