Got me on that one, tech. I wonder how those will shoot with the existing twist in the barrels. They might be the best thing since butter for shooting. The existing 20gr groups good for most rifles, so perhaps they will have a winner with the new bullet. I would like to try the new loads.
Yep, I think they are trying to fill the gaps for heavier varmints. Is that going to be a FMJ, or a VMax? Hornady folks put real R&D into their development. We can thank those folks for our .17s.  O0 Thanks for the info, tech.  O0  :)

all i see on hornady`s website is a 20 and 25 and thats only bullet.the biggest they have on their site with bullet and case is the .17 HMR 20 GR XTP. i don`t see on thier site under cases that you can get a case for an hmr or hm2.i don`t know anything about reloading (i want to learn) so all i can go by is factory stuff

.22 LR Stingers from CCI are 32gr. I don't think the .17 will get there without outside help.

;D daydreams of rocket sized .17`s i love it!!
i read on the hornady site, hornady and cci teamed up to make the mach 2.it says they use the cci stinger case and the hornady .17 gr v-max bullet. it could be possible somewhere a 32gr .17 bullet was going to be used. i honestly think the .17 manufacturers are reading what people are saying about the guns and listening. these new and bigger bullets are starting to show up for the .17,which is going to make the versitlity of the gun almost 100% solid for each application it could possibly be used for.

oh yeah they do listen, cause they can sit all day and think they got the greatest thing, "but hey noones buying".. as soon as they figure the barrel burnout troubles i may end up with one.. i dont want a rifle that i gotta replace the barrel after 5 years of "normal" shooting..
when in doubt shoot twice
