Actually, just watched a Jum Shockey show where they were shooting aligators.  Dont think it would be all that hard, even thought thier brain is only like 1 1/2 inch target.  Spent some thing in florida and use to shoot carp with a bow in Michigan growing up, think it would be about the same unless you feel in or the gator tried to ran the boat.  Think it is a surprise style hunt.

I hunt them with a 6 foot bangstick . One of our agents uses a crossbow with a line attached but I prefer the brain stem shot with a 44 mag bangstick. Whats fun is fighting a 10 footer on a fishing rod

they are tough here is a picture of one I shot last Saturday with a 44 then severed his spine with my knife . I loaded him on the truck then he decided to open his eyes and growl

Hey gatortrapper, where's the best place you know of to hook a feller up with some gator meat?

The only purpose of bread is to hold meat!

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.
