does anybody spear sucker,gar,carp or such it's lots of fun with kids or friends
you can run but you will only leave a blood trail

Yeah! Here we call it gigging. You can gig all the fish you can haul here, the gigging is so good. One day we filled the trunk completely full twice that day, stuck them less than a mile from town. In two days we filled two big chest freezers with fish and could have killed several times that many.
Potholes fill up during the high water and then trap the fish when the water receedes. It's a slaughter more than a sport here.
During spring the river islands here usually flood and the big buffalo fish are on the islands, jillions of 20-75 pound fish in just a few feet of water.  One guy runs the boat and the others gig or bowfish, and then we trade off. And then there are the backwaters of the river and shallow lakes full of fish waiting, too. We acutally get bored and tired of killing fish, they are so numerous.
