I had a marlin 60 until a few years ago... landlord broke into my house while we were moving out and swiped it. Also, just to give you an idea of how important bullet placement is, my uncle used to hunt with my old man for deer and 'lope. He never used anything more than .22 CB's and he never needed more than one shot to drop one. It sounds ludicrous   , but my old man swears it's true. Told of a time when he droped a 'lope at 100 yards with one. Said he only takes the shot if it's gonna hit the neck at the base of the head.

But then again, he IS getting pretty old.
