My New Bowhunting Rig
« on: July 13, 2007, 01:14:57 AM »
After drooling and shooting a Switchback with my loving wife asking "aren't you gonna buy it?", I started my "serious shopping".

I was replacing an old Phoenix that felt like it was 6 feet ATA.  Here's what I ended up with:

Diamond Justice 70 lb, 29" DL
Spot Hogg Right On, .19 pins
Cobra Diamondback drop rest with stick-on arrow holder
SVL S-Coil stabilizer
SVL drop pad
Truglo Centra Peep

I added some camo fleece to the riser to prevent clatter while nocking the arrow
I also fleeced the arrow rest's prongs

Been shooting in the back yard every day or two and I love this bow!

My to do list:

1. I need a quiver.  Any recommendations?
2. The Hush Kit string silencers are not durable.  The upper one has only one and a half fingers left after 400 shots.  What do you folks like for a replacement?
3. Upgrade the sight pins with a wrap kit
4. I am thinking of trying out the Specialty Archery Super Hunter Peep with a verifier (my eyes are gettin old).  Anybody have experience with this?
