Any Records?
« on: August 10, 2007, 11:18:31 AM »
Has anybody seen any once-in-a-lifetime class deer this year? I've been watching and it looks like I may be looking forward to squirrel season, not deer. Anybody have a monster they are just waiting to wait on? ;D ;D.

I know where a awesome buck is but the land he lives on the people won't let you hunt it.  :knuppel2
I saw him a couple yrs old and he was easy a 16 pt with stickers and droptine.  They have over 350 arces and he knows he's safe there.

I don't know about once in a lifetime, but we picked up a hoss on the trail cam recently.  It's a night pic, so we can't tell exactly how good he is but he gonna get some bow attention for sure.   :knuppel2

Don't despair completely, though, my friends. The first thing I learned last year was bucks may seem to be(or not be) in one area... until the rut. The rut comes around and bucks will move for miles and miles...if there are does. We have about 60 does living in our area here and they draw bucks from places I cannot even imagine(can't even figure out where they come from...they'd have to cross some major developed areas). Get some does and hope they are hot. You guys got a chance.

RR, you say 16 pts? Thats 10 more than I could hope for! Thats genetics for you, you lucky, frozen northerners.

Tenderfoot-  I would love a chance at him.  They have a huge farm and he doesn't leave it.
