In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.

I could use a good goose jerky recipe!

I used to make my own Jerky spice mix but since I tried High Mountain 5 years ago, I haven't bothered to make my own.
I put my Jerky strips on the smoker for about 1/2 an hour,(I like Hickory and or Apple wood), then into a 200 degree oven with the door propped open about an inch.

Thanks dawg I wrote it down.  Now I have something to make when they bring all the geese home.

ive been out goose huntin here all weekend...and not one goose...here in southeastern wisconsin seems everyones had a bad start on their season. Were thinkin its just too warm out there yet. definately lookin forwards to the mid to late of this month tho when all the corn fields start being harvested... last year thats when we had hundreds of geese fly over us at a time.
