What kind of decoys do you use??
« on: August 15, 2007, 06:53:33 PM »
Just wondering what everyone is using for decoys?
We have some hard bodies, some big foot, and a bunch of sillosocks.
Just bought the sillosocks are excited to see how they are in the field.

oh, man, i alone have over 14 dozen decoys. ghg's, flambeaus, herters, g and h, etc. got a dozen bigfoot geese, 3 dozen floater geese, 2 dozen last looks, and about 200 snow goose rags. about 8 dozen mallard decoys, 2 dozen bluebills, a dozen gads, a dozen woodies, 2 dozen teal, a dozen wigeon, 2 dozen last look feild mallards, umm, a dozen cans, a dozen pintails, and a bunch of jumbled duck butts, confidence dekes, and found decoys including goldeneye, ringnecks, and even a harlequin duck. how many is that? i never get em all out, and spent alot of time and money in the offseason just ridin herd on my flock of dekes. youd be surprized at all the lead weights that get lost, and decoys that get shot during season.

I've never used them but heard they work pretty good on Snow Geese.
I would imagine the wind would have to be blowin' in order for them to have any action, or inflate for that matter.

I know they started off just making the snows but now they make all of them.  We just bought a few dozen Canadians.  I like them because they are so dang easy to carry out into the field.

never tried em, but i know that texas rags work as long as there is wind, and there is alot less to a texas rag than to those things. should work good.
