Banter is defined as... lighthearted teasing or amusing remarks that are exchanged between people.

Yeah... We are way past "Lighthearted" and "Amusing" remarks. ;D
I have long know that it is part of God's plan for me to spend a little time with each of the most stupid people on earth.

I see you're playing stupid again...  looks like you're winning too.

I've owned a few of these dogs and liked most of em. They do tend to be hardheaded but if you start em young with a good pack of cowdogs they do ok. Cow hunters here in Florida like em for catchin wild cattle. They'll trail and catch-n-hold cattle till you can get em roped. The last one I owned was a buddies reject. He started killin calves and catchin the horses. I kept him around my house to protect my wife and he did a good job of it as long as she tied him up when she hung clothes on the line. He could strip the clothes line in seconds. He saved the wife several times from snakes and once from a stray dog that cornered her in the pasture. He lost a battle with a large Gator that crawled up out of the canal in front of the house one mornin.

Pretty interesting read about the dogs.  Not too long, but full of info.

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.
