Billboard Company Pulls Plug on Anti-Fishing Billboard
« on: August 26, 2004, 11:27:23 AM »
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) continues its efforts to sink America’s fishing heritage using anti-fishing billboard campaigns.  The latest ad, erected in Texas, has made waves along the coast.

The ad, part of PETA’s Fishing Hurts campaign, went up along Interstate 45 in Galveston, Texas on August 10.  It depicts a dog with a fish hook in its lip and reads, “If you wouldn’t do this to a dog, why do it to a fish?”  Viacom Outdoor, the advertising company that owns the billboard, was flooded with complaints from commuters and has decided to take down the billboard.

PETA spokesman William Rivas-Rivas said the group plans to place the same advertisement in numerous areas including the New Orleans and Columbus, Ohio markets

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.

PETA is a short version for ORGANIZED MORONS. To belong to OM, you have to be a pathetic PETA member.
