I said If you can find the arrow it will give you clues I realize I wasn't there and basics are important to finding any deer.I wish you the best tenderfoot in finding your deer.You need to  ask the neighbors for permission to look for the deer and do the best to find it.I will leave this to the

Hey, play nice, bearman. I have not found the arrow yet, but I managed to track his exact initial trail over 150 yards(by footprints).
I guess the only thing left to do now is gather up what corn I have left, fire up the old still and take my newly brewed buddy searching with me. >:( I cannot recall the sound it made. I will try to talk myself through next time, but I was properly anchored and had a good grip. Do deer ever roam their old rut territory after they've been shot their once? The good thing is even when he was shot he did not notice it came from a tree. And is a deer 5-7(estimate on this chunker) going to have the same quality antlers as last year?
