In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.

Good 7 weeks till youth day here in NC. Maybe this year it won't be 20 degrees with 4 inches of snow!!  Also I hope we avoid the warm spell that had all the gobblers fired up 2 weeks before the season, then that cold snap that shut things down. They never did get back to normal after that.

Our Youth season is April 5 & 6 in KY, then the regular season comes in April 12 - May 4.  I just looked and our spring/summer squirrel season runs June 7 - 20. O0
