Need help tuning my drop-away rest!!!!
« on: February 13, 2008, 11:24:39 PM »
I went to Cabelas to install a new rest, I think it was a Quik Tune or NAP total containment rest similar to the Rip Cord. Once they installed it and I test fired my bow, the arrows was striking the target at upward angle. It was almost like the target was in a tree when I was shooting it. So after about an hour of trying to trouble shoot this, they determined that my bow was too fast for the rest and it was not clearing fast enuff causing the arrow to bounce. I put a WB on and it fixed the problem. I was really wanting to try a drop-away rest. How can I fix this problem? BTW I'm shooting a 2007 Iron Mace 70# with 30 inch draw. This bow is stupid fast. Please help

well I personally like the trapdoor rest no cables to deal with. The sensitivity can be adjusted really lite. You will have to cock it your self.
you can run but you will only leave a blood trail

Wait about 2 years until the frop away technology is advanced enough to suit your bow speed. Good luck getting anything to drop that fast.

use a fallaway that is physically pushed down by an arm, not pulled down by a spring.

I got a QAD pro hunter drop away. With my set up, I'm throwing a 472 grain arrow at 303 fps. I love this bow!
