The easiest way to clean a dove is to open their wings up and move them straight up over the top of their back.  With the dove's belly facing up, take one hand and put it over the dove's tail and around the wings.  Take your thumb on the other hand and stick it in under the breast at the back end of it (near the tail).  Lift up on it and toward the head.  This will tear the breast and breast bone loose.  Take a knife and cut through the ball joints where the wings attach to the breast.  Now just pull the little patch of skin and feathers off of the breast.

That's it. O0

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.

Ty Elwood.  My friend said 'bet you I can hit that bird  :idiot2 ' and shot a dove. I don't know if it's even dove season but I didn't want a game animal to go to waste. Eh......These things boobs are only as big as a quail's.

You can never go wrong with rolling it in some seasoned flour and frying it. O0

O0 Yep! And that's the only meat that you will find on those birds, pretty much just a ball of breast meat.
