Ours opened up Sept. 4th.  I've yet to go, mainly because the Dr. told me not to pull my bow.  The other reasons are that there are too many squirrels that need killin'( ), and that I've had to work every weekend since I went back to work!

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.
