I started back in 1995 with 4 blade 90 grain Muzzy's. Switched to 3 blade 100 grain Muzzy's and was very pleased and still am. Shot Wasp Jak-hammers 100 grain mechanical's for 2 years really just to see and was very pleased as well. I have been out of bowhunting for 3 years and I am getting back into it, but my new arrows just won't give me a quarter size group with my Muzzy's so after some trusted friends advice, I will be slinging Rage 2 blades this coming Sept.

I haven't decided yet what I'll be shooting this fall. :-\  It will either be 150 gr. Excalibur Boltcutters (3 blade fixed) or 100 gr. Excalibur X-ACT 3 blade expandables.  I know the expandables will give a better group (and are lighter), but I don't know if I want to take the chance on them not expanding. >:(

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.

BC, with a crossbow like yours shooting that fast, you will shoot what IT likes!! ;D  My dad tried rocket expandable's in his and the suckers opened in flight. Then he read where they were not supposed to be shot out of anything over 300 fps. Now he shoots 3 blade Muzzy's in 100 grain.

Yeah, I had thought about that.  I've had bad experiences with expandables, so I've always stuck with fixed blade heads. O0

When expandables first came out, I tried shooting the PunchCutters.  I couldn't get them to pattern worth a crap! >:(  Finally figured out that they were opening up slightly just as soon as I released the arrow, with the blades hitting the riser on the bow.  That by itself is bad, but when I got to looking, they were missing my hand by about 1/4"!  That was my last time of trying expandables. ;D

I used a RAGE 2 blade and hit the throat at 40-50 yards they are VERY accurate and it made a wound so big I could fit my fist inside yes the whole thing pretty kool but if it had a bone crushing kinda tip like the muzzy mx series does would be better.
