That was a beauty. Ya know the seminoles used to catch as many young boar as they could then fix em so they could find them in a few years and eat them. They taught a couple of the real swamp-men in S Fl to do likewise. Those guys are amazingly skillful at finding hogs then roping them down-all without being gored to death. It's amazing to see them in action.

And then we have John Andrews. He uses his bare hands for all of his kills.

This guy I was hunting with this weekend has taken a few with spear. Since it was only the two of us deep in the swamp we figured the possibility for backup was greatly diminished and not worth the risk of trying that. It is also best done with dogs involved.. I don't know about a flimsy filet knife, though.

I couldnt get that close if I had to. Kinda like noddling, I would carry the stringer, but wont get in the hole. We have hogs around here, but we also have black bears too. So I aint getten out too far from my safe zone. Like watchen those surfers in Cal last week. You aint getten me out where the fish will eat me, its pose to be the other way around. ;D

;D You ever try to choke a deer?  ;D
Plott and I were talking one time about he and AB wading in on big tuskers with knives. Plott suggested maybe I try it. No kidding, plott was serious. I remember telling fearless plott I MIGHT try it with a long spear.  ;D
