new archery hunter:
« on: September 20, 2008, 10:53:06 PM »
Never thought I would do it but due to failing health I'm going to be a crossbow hunter this year. Just got a EXCALIBUR Pheonix. Like shooting it a lot. Any tips from some of you who already shoot crossbows I would appreciate hearing. thanks.

Is that personal experience  ???
It takes patience to break a good hound. Ya gotta be persistent and it helps to be a lil smarter then the dog.

Not me personally but I've heard horror stories of the string taking of the thumb at the knuckle  O0

I've seen a couple of old crossbow men missing their thumb and index, also. I think that's why they make them with such a wide shelf now-so your fingers cannot grip that high.
