best time to hunt

most of the property i hunt i will not be able to use dogs about what time frame would be good to start hunting coons

pretty hard huntin coons without dogs since most states dont allow spotlighting.
It takes patience to break a good hound. Ya gotta be persistent and it helps to be a lil smarter then the dog.

If you bait em, late evening and early morning is the best. Like sniper says you cant spot light hardly any where anymore...

You can spotlight coons legally in Indiana and Illinois.

However both states do not allow spotlighting from a vehicle or roadway.

Well that changes things  ;D Jest from what Ive been told most coon that get spotlighted are bout 3-4 hours after dark

Oh no in Indiana if you have a "carry" permit your allowed to carry a firearm.Though during dog running season a human is not allowed to take a coon.If the dogs catch it,climb to it or dig it out thats legal.

Interestingly enough your not allowed to posess the hide.Your forced into commiting the "wanton waste" and leave it lay.
