Alabama Approves New Hunting Regulations
« on: October 01, 2004, 07:10:37 AM »
MONTGOMERY, AL—The Alabama Legislative Council announced it has approved changes to the state’s hunting laws that now legalize the use of crossbows, turkey decoys and scopes on muzzleloaders. The three proposals were recommended by the Alabama Conservation Advisory Board in May. The state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources held a public hearing regarding the issues last month and received more than 3,000 comments from sportsmen.

An analysis of those comments indicates that 78 percent favor the crossbow regulation, 86 percent favor the muzzleloader regulation and 77 percent favor the turkey decoy regulation.

The changes will be in effect for this fall's hunting seasons.

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.
California sucks that's it.
