Cooning with Spook!
« on: November 27, 2008, 01:20:22 PM »
I took Spook out last Tues to hunt the Sherrifs farm again. This time the Sherrifs farm dogs tagged along. The female is a Wolf/Husky cross and her son was sired by a retired Putnam county Sherrifs deputy.A rott named Boss. It was cool because we heard alot of coyotes and the pair would range out for 10 mins or so and come back.Seemingly keeping the stinkin coyotes off the hounds.

Spook is doing better every time we go out.He got stuck on a log that crossed a creek for a few minutes. After he treed on the log we crossed the creek.Spook and Train both finally crossed over and got back to the race. They hit another creek, this time a tree snapped about 15 ft or so up and layed over.Spook climbed up and would jump back down.Where the tree snapped was wide open and the perfect spot for a coon to make home  ;D

They never did hit anything but dens but we had alot of fun trying and the time out was a lesson learned for Spook.

Here are a few pictures of Spook and Train.

The next three are of Spook up in the tree.

Here is a shot of the son.Funny enough he was the only one of the two that would have either Spook or Train within 5 ft of him  ;D ;D
