remington 22 mag vmax

a buddy of mine gave me some of these to try in my rifle was wondering if anyone has any exp with them shooting coons what is the damage on the pelt

Depending on your distance you will either blow the hide up or you won't.Head shots are your best bet O0

A well known coon hunter here with us (plott) had a very bad experience skinning coon that had been shot with VMax. The shattered skulls was an awful job to skin.

They would for sure be good coon killers, but the damage would be pretty bad, I would think. I would stick with solids or hollowpoints for coon.
