3 lbs. cooked kidney beans, drained
                  OR
64. oz. canned beans

30 oz. stewed tomatoes (maters), undrained
4 oz. canned diced jalepenos (more or less to taste)
1 lg. red onion , chunked
1 garlic clove, mashed
dash salt
1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
1/2 lb. rattlesnake meat, cut into bite size pieces
broken tortilla chips (optional)

Put cooked beans in large pot, add maters, jalepenos, onion, salt, garlic, ground beef, & snake meat.
Simmer 10 minutes to heat thoroughly.
For chili pie, place broken tortilla chips on bottom of bowl & spoon beans over chips.

I dunno..I like rattlesnake, and we didn't have too many recipes. Any of ya'll have any?

It's not too bad. Goes pretty good with the snake meat.

The way we cook rattlesnake is to buy two Shak& Bakes, one chicken, the other, pork. Mix them together and place your piece of snake in the bag and repeat with the 3 or 4 inch length of snake sections.  Then deep fry the sections until the pieces float to the top of the hot oil. The pieces of snake act just like catfish when deep fried, they are done when they float to the top, and will be golden brown. Delicious!
