or do the steel loads just plain kick harder than the lead game loads ? I usually shoot the hi-brass #6 loads for small game.
I went duck hunting with the future son-in-law and had to have him pick up some #4 waterfowl loads for me. I honesly don't remember my lead loads kicking this hard, but the steel loads rattled my teeth. I was shooting a Winchester 1200 2 3/4 inch 12 Ga w/ imp cyl choke.
I tried one shot from his Barretta 3 inch 12 Ga semi-auto and that one dang near hurt. I thought semi's were supposed to be lighter on recoil !!
Maybe I've just gotten a bit recoil sensitive from years of not being in the field.
What do y'all think of them?
