What are you wanting to do?  If this is the first time you've noticed it, more than likely it was just random as far as the skunk spraying.  If the skunk has taken up residence around your house, I could probably help.  Let me know!

In all seriousness, the Marlin is a great rifle, too. I own a Model 60, one of the best rifles ever made.
Brownings are nice, but in terms of quality AND accuarcy AND ruggedness, it's hard to beat the Marlin.

You can live trap skunks in those HavaHart things. If you handle the trap and skunk gently, the skunk won't spray, believe it or not. I have seen the trouble critter trapper at work live trap several skunks and haul them in the back of his pickup without the skunks doing anything. The skunks in his pickup were still in the traps.
