anyone ever use an abu garcia cardinal 101 reel i have one on my ulgy stick ultra light and i love it.

Nope, but I've heard that they're good reels.  I'll stick with my Zebco 33 though. O0 ;D

I havn't used anything Abu Garcia but speaking of the Ugly Stick...I got one an I really love that thing.You can slam the tip in a truck door and it will not break.I love how you can switch from small pan fish to large catfish and never worry about your rod  O0

I had one of those cardinals about 15 years ago, with the quick cast...loved it, but now I just use the reels that come with the poles  :-\  :idiot2 ...anyways ithe cardinal is a nice reel

Nope i am not speaking another language i have the reel and was just curious if anyone else did. And ugly sticks are nice but i don't always like how short it is.

i really want to get a long ultra light rod. I love fishing ultra light for crappie and bass.

How much difference is there between this and an aftermarket reel?  What's wrong with the ones that come with the pole?  Will they blow up, or something?

my rod didnt come with a reel so i tried i few different ones and found that i liked the cardinal the most. I dont like buy rod reel combos very much. i like picking my reels to suit what i want the rod to do for me.
