nice catch......... spent 4 hours last night catching these...7pm-11.... put them on ice and cleaned them (pic) this morning...

your mission if you choose to accept it, is to go through the boiler maker to get to the Gut Pile Style

Thats cool right there  O0 I have yet to catch a dang catfish this year. I was fishing on bottom with worms when I caught these  :tickedoff

Yea, fresh water Drum! Good stuff right there! Hey Techno, have you ever cut into their heads and took out the rocks that are in there? I caught one, one time that was around 5 lbs. I cut the rocks out and carried them around for a long time. I finally gave them to a kid to play with and he lost them. They look almost like pearls only flat and round.

I have some of those rocks from catfish in florida. Somebody told me it was a form of calcium build up in there head.  ???

No I havn't. I will be cooking them tmrw. Thanks for the heads up as I leave the heads on to eat the cheeks. I will have to chop a few up and see whats in them  O0 O0

All fresh water drum have them. they use them as sonar I have been told by some oldtimers, Hence the name Drum. Hey MH, is that a mess of White Bass in that pic? I grew up catching them things in the spring when they run up the rivers to spawn.

my dogs come to the sound of rocks rattlin  ;D ;D
It takes patience to break a good hound. Ya gotta be persistent and it helps to be a lil smarter then the dog.
